Koharu is a girl with no power to fight. In pursuit of her father's shadow, she borrows the strength of monsters and sets out for the summit of a colossal tower.
Memento Resonance is a monster-collecting roguelite turn-based strategy game centered on forging Resonance with monsters, customizing skills with relics, responding to telegraphed enemy actions, and following the trail of lost memories.
The monsters that inhabit the tower are more than foes to defeat.
Offer them food in battle to lower their guard, and if Resonance succeeds, they can join you as new allies.
At the end of each adventure, choose one of the monsters that joined you through Resonance to bring back to your base and take with you on your next journey. Each monster has a signature skill unique to its species, as well as passive skills that vary from one individual to another.
Even monsters of the same species have their own quirks. Find a favorite and climb toward the summit together.
Relics found in the tower can be socketed into your monsters' skills.
Boost their power, add Shield, or combine status effects with special conditions—the same skill can play a different role depending on the relics equipped. Experiment with monsters and relics to create a battle style of your own.
Enemy actions—such as attacking, defending, or inflicting debuffs—are telegraphed before they happen.
Each skill grows more expensive the more you use it, while holding it back lowers its cost. With limited Mana, decide which skills to use against the telegraphed action and which to save for the next turn.
The tower's routes and the events along them change with every adventure. Overcome battles, events, camps, and encounters with powerful foes as you climb to ever higher floors.
By restoring Memory Logs over the course of your adventures, you will gradually uncover Koharu's past and the truth hidden within the tower.
Hello! Thank you as always for all your feedback! This update focuses on the most common points from the survey: things that were "hard to understand" or "hard to read." ■ Catch Your Breath If you end a turn in battle without spending any Agility, you now recover 1 Agility at the start of the next turn. This opens up more strategic options, even without Agility-related skills. ■ Friendlier Term Explanations Terms that appear in skill and relic descriptions now have their meanings shown right below the description. We also fixed some incorrect descriptions in Russian. ■ Memory Logs, Easier to Read We rebuilt the Memory Logs screen. The text is larger, and you can tell at a glance what kind of record each one is, such as an official or a personal record. The list now shows how many you've collected, too. In the full version, we also plan to make the writing itself easier to read. ■ See...
Read full update on Steam ↗Hello!Thank you so much for all the downloads and feedback on the demo!Based on your survey responses, we've rolled out a fairly big update. It changes how the game feels quite a bit, so even if you've already cleared the demo, please give it another go.■ The Best Defense Is a Good OffenseRelics that boost Shield now also grant Shield when attached to an attack skill and that skill is used. This makes builds with three attack skills viable and gives you much more freedom in how you build. (That said, until you get the hang of it, we still recommend sneaking in one defensive skill.)■ Pico Has Become WhimsicalPico now has the passive "Random Seed." Pico's attribute is chosen at random each run, which changes the skills Pico learns.Until now, things tended to lean toward None and Earth skills, but this should make it easier to enjoy a wider variety of skills.■ Parting Ways, Carrying Their...
Read full update on Steam ↗We've received some great feedback through the demo survey. Thank you so much!! Based on your suggestions, we've already made the following updates. ■ Skill Tags, Rerolls & Appearance Rates Skills now display tags, making it easier to spot skills that work well with the ones you already have. You can now reroll skills! Skipping a skill selection grants one extra reroll, and you can reroll the offered skills one card at a time. We've adjusted skill appearance rates so you're a little more likely (just a little!) to find skills that work well together. When a monster joins your party, you can now choose one of its skills yourself. ■ Tutorial Improvements We've made the tutorials much clearer. During your first battles and camp visit, you'll be guided through what to do next, step by step. (This game has quite a few unusual systems, so we understand how confusing it could be!) As a resul...
Read full update on Steam ↗Thank you as always for playing the Memento Resonance demo! Since the demo launched, I've been doing nothing but polishing how the game looks. Before I knew it, almost every screen had turned into something new, so here it is as a big update! There are far too many small changes to list, so here are just the highlights. 🌏 Now available in Traditional Chinese and Russian! So many of you who added the game to your wishlist use these two languages that I made them playable starting with this update. Thank you so much! You can switch languages from the Settings screen. If there's another language you'd like to see, let me know. I might be able to add it! 🐾 Monsters and bosses redrawn From regular enemies to bosses, many monsters have a brand-new look, and they move with more life than before. ⚔️ Battles feel better than ever Attack effects, Master Skill cut-ins, the victory screen and m...
Read full update on Steam ↗We've updated the demo! This update mainly focuses on smoothing out the early-game difficulty and improving the pacing of the story. “We slightly overshot.” We've adjusted the HP, attack power, and some status effects of several elites and bosses in Layer 1, making the beginning of the game a little more forgiving. For reference, the boss clear rate in the previous version was 9.1%. If you cleared it... you might just be a pro at this genre! “Too much!” The opening story was skippable, but it still ran a little long on a first launch. We've revised its order and content, and moved part of the story into each layer. You'll now be able to set out on your adventure much sooner! Other Changes We've also made some small display improvements and fixed various bugs. Save data from the previous demo version can be carried over as-is. About Feedback A huge thank you to everyone who has played...
