Twelve winters ago, someone extinguished the sun — and the dark poured in like water. One village endures, huddled around the Last Flame. You are the Lightborn: carry the flame into the horde, and find out who betrayed the light.
HORDELIGHT is a story-driven horde survival game: the auto-firing combat of the survivors genre, wrapped around a gothic mystery told across 8 chapters, a living village hub, and an RPG meta layer.

Auto-firing weapons — position, dodge, and build. 7 weapons, each with a spectacular evolution.
4 playable Lightborn, each with a signature passive that changes how you fight.

Update b408 — We measured the dark, and opened it up
Making the store screenshots for b407 taught us something uncomfortable: every single image needed brightening before it was readable. In the Void, 74% of the screen was near-black. That isn't atmosphere — that's a wall between you and the game. So b408 opens the lighting: combat darkness 0.34 → 0.18 edge vignette 0.55 → 0.30 lantern radius 300 → 380 Near-black pixels in the Void: 74% → 55%. It's still night. It's just night you can see. Balance is untouched, and we verified it rather than assuming: 16 of 16 runs still clear chapter 1, median first victory still ~17 minutes. We ran the game 12 times per chapter with a fully equipped character and measured where it stops. The answer was uncomfortable: chapters 4 through 8 were not completable. Not difficult — not completable. Chapter 1 wasn't either. The cause Guardian health was scaled twice: the chapter multiplier was applied on top of itself. The first Guardian had 275 health in chapter 1 and 8,659 in chapter 8 — a 31x climb that no amount of gear could close. On top of that, weapons targeted the nearest enemy, so in a crowded fight the Guardian was almost never the one being hit. Only 0.4% of all damage reached it. Both are fixed in b407.
