You’ve been looting this city for some time, unaware of a far greater threat lurking in the shadows. Wicked Harvest adds a new breed of enemy to the Nightmare: the Wicked Dreadweavers. Rooted so deep into the ruins that they've outgrown everything around them, each is built around a single Fear taken to its absolute limit. A half-mad alchemist from Chinatown will show you how to hunt them. Bring him their hearts to unlock entirely new team upgrades. Claim unique monster trophies from your fallen prey, and harness their dark power to reshape your gameplay.
Twelve Wicked Dreadweavers, twelve fights that break the habits you have spent the whole game forming:
Wicked Cannon Head walls off the street with mortar fire you can see coming and turns every other monster on the map into a bomb.
Wicked Puppets come as a pair. Kill one and the other brings her back at full health. Take both down in the same turn, or start over.
Wicked Deadwood roots every single unit on the board in place. Free actions and ranged abilities are all you have left.
Wicked Sawbones fully regenerates every wounded monster on the level. Anything you leave standing does not stay hurt.
Wicked Wendigo heals to full at the end of every round, and hits harder for every hit it has taken.
…and seven more, each of them backed by a mob of ordinary Dreadweavers drawn to the Fear it feeds on.
The Wicked appear in districts randomly. After every successful raid they move, and the alchemist marks the new ground on your map: which District they have taken, and how deep the encounter lies.
Only a handful are ever within reach at once, so every run becomes a wager. Take the fight that is available but buried deep in the Slums? Or hold out for a kinder approach and risk losing the trail entirely? Put one down, and it is gone from the Frontier for good.
Every Wicked gives up a Heart which pays for an entire new upgrade tree in the Hideout:
Lazarus Springs : black water wells up through the streets, and fallen Scavengers can be dragged back from death mid-raid.
Quicksilver, Alkahest, Azoth and Ether Founts : spawn anomalies that upgrade your gear for free, all over the City.
The Sleeping Slabs : crew who rest at the Hideout come back carrying a buff, extra movement, or an immunity they did not have yesterday.
…and more
Every Wicked drops a legendary, upgradeable piece of gear cut from its own corpse.
Strap on the Spider Carapace for extra arms and a storm of lead down your line of sight. Bolt the Cannon to a Scavenger for a point-blank blast that rearranges the whole block. Wear the Wendigo Frontlet and grow stronger with every wound you take. Or put on the Wooden Wig and deploy anywhere on the map.
The hunt comes with its own questline, independent of the main campaign. Find the Serpent Apothecary in Chinatown, move his laboratory into your Hideout, and start bringing him hearts.
Each heart he cuts open, he will tell you what Fear grew from.
Wicked Harvest requires Nightmare Frontier to play. The hunt opens up once your band reaches Chinatown.
