About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

Roll, hold what's worth keeping, roll the rest again. Make a hand, confirm it, and that spends one of your hands for the stage. Clear the target score before you run out and you move down a stage. The hands are the ones you already know from Yahtzee. What changes is the dice themselves and the way the score is counted.

Hold and Reroll

Dice you hold stay as they are through a reroll, and only the rest are rolled again. Both the hands you get per stage and the rerolls you get per hand are limited. Whether to confirm now or roll once more comes down to the rerolls you have left and how far the target still is.

The Shop Between Stages

Clear a stage and a shop opens, where the chips you earned go toward the next one. Charms keep working for as long as you hold them. Some multiply what you score, others change the rules of the table. Engravings rework a die's faces so it rolls something else. A die coated in a material gets a score multiplier when it goes into a hand. The same one pair can be worth different amounts depending on which dice made it. What the shop stocks differs every time, so which hands are worth going for differs from run to run.

Dealer's Tricks

On the way down there are stages where the dealer has bent one rule. A red preview marks them before you get there. Some stop certain faces from counting at all, others change the way the score is counted. Depending on which trick is in play, the setup that worked until then does not work the same way on that stage.

The VIP Room

A VIP run puts the whole run on the line from the first stage. The Essence you collect pays double, but go down and you lose all of it. You can also stop partway and walk out with what you have.

After a Run

Miss the target score and the run ends there, and the dice and charms you gathered on it are gone. Essence (★) is not. The permanent upgrades you buy with it at the Essence shop apply to every run after that.

Fully offline singleplayer.
