Free demo in Steam Next Fest, October 19–26. Early Access launches November 10.
Build a golf course on raw land. Watch a full field of golfers play it. See where they struggle, change the hole, and watch again. Then run the club that grows around it.
You're the architect. You arrive on a raw piece of land: hills, water, trees, open ground and tight corners, and it's on you to see what it could become. Where does the first tee sit? Does the green tuck into that hollow, or does the fairway bend around the water instead? You're standing on unbuilt land like the great golf architects of old, and now it's your turn.
Sculpt the terrain. Raise hills, dig valleys, carve ponds, streams and waterfalls until the land supports the course you're picturing.
Lay out each hole by hand. Set the tee, choose the line to the green, and decide whether it's a tricky par 3 or a long par 5 that makes golfers think.
Paint freehand, no grid. Fairway, rough, green, bunker, water and more, straight onto the ground. Save a layout and stamp it for quick designs.
Plan the whole property. Practice green, driving range, clubhouse amenities, and the trees and land around it all.
A full field on a real shot model. Clubs, wind, slopes and skill all matter. Golfers read your hole and choose their line: some take on the bunker, some lay up short of it.
A course that comes alive. Golfers mark their balls, crouch to read putts and fix their pitch marks. At dawn your crew sets the pins, mows fresh stripes and empties the bins.
Big moments. Drain a long putt for a banner and confetti. Every ace gets fireworks, a replay and a spot on the Aces wall.
Watch the Broadcast. Sit back and follow the field live, with a commentary team in the booth.
The heatmap shows where golfers land and where they get into trouble, so you can see whether that bunker actually changed how the hole plays.
Every hole is scored on how it looks and how it plays, and a hazard where golfers actually land counts for more than one nobody reaches. A pretty hole that plays badly is a problem you can see and fix.
Green fees, members, staff, a pro shop and a touring beverage cart.
Hire a Head Pro who gives lessons on the range and sells more in the pro shop.
Host tournaments, and enter the Club Championship yourself.
Grow across a region: buy more land, build a course on each plot, and run them all from one wallet.
Sandbox mode with unlimited money, if you'd rather just build.
Play As: take the shots yourself on your own layout, with a swing meter, a putt read and a rangefinder.
Wildlife wanders the property, and photo mode captures the course at its best.
Full controller support.
Windows and macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel).
English, plus six more languages translated by machine. We'll fund a proper human translation for any language that turns out to be popular in Early Access.
Metric or imperial units.
A nice update for the demo, just in time for Next Fest. Highlights A smoother tutorial. It flows better from start to finish, and either bridge works for the river crossing. Bushes, and a bridge overhaul. Plant waist-high bushes, and build Arch or Flat bridges in two clicks, at any length. Unplayable lies. In a round, press U (RT on a controller) to take a one-stroke drop, just like the real rules. Smoother and sharper. Better looking grass, SMAA anti-aliasing on Medium and High, and shaping the land no longer freezes the game. New Bushes in the Garden tab. A ball rolling into one stops against it, a lofted shot sails over, and golfers walk around. Arch and Flat bridges, built to any length in two clicks: one bank, then the other. Balls bounce off them, and golfers aim around them. Unplayable lies: drop to the side, back on the line, or replay the shot. Other golfers use it too when t...
Read full update on Steam ↗A small update with one change worth knowing about for full transparency. New Anonymous play stats, with an off switch. The game now sends Steam a few anonymous numbers, like how far people get in the tutorial and how long they spend building, so we can see what to improve. No personal data is collected: no names, no courses, no chat. Steam adds the numbers up across every player, and we only ever see the totals. Here's everything that's counted: How far players get in the tutorial, and where they stop How long they spend building, watching, playing and in menus Frame rate, graphics settings, graphics card maker and screen size How often they come back In the demo: reaching its limits and looking at the full game To turn it off: Settings > Game > Share anonymous play stats. Nothing is counted or sent from the moment you switch it off. Changed The full game's button in the demo now say...
Read full update on Steam ↗The demo now runs on Mac! This update also adds Short Rough, reeds for your ponds and a friendlier water tool, plus a handful of fixes. Added macOS support. The demo now runs on Macs through Steam, both Apple Silicon and Intel, and Early Access will too when it starts on 10 November. Cmd works where Windows uses Ctrl, trackpad scroll and pinch zoom the camera smoothly, and Option + drag spins it around. Spoken commentary isn't on Mac yet, so the booth shows its lines as text for now. Short Rough. A new grass to paint that's mown well short of your Rough. It follows the Rough length slider in the clubhouse but stays short even when you let the Rough grow long. It plays in between too: easier to hit out of than Rough, but not as clean as the fairway. Handy as a first cut beside your fairways. Lock mouse to window. A new Video setting keeps your cursor inside the game, so pushing it to t...
Read full update on Steam ↗Items marked (full game) are not available in the demo. Highlights This is a big one, with over 200 changes and fixes. Your course feels a lot more alive, you can play it all on a controller, and there's lots of new stuff to build with. Here are the headlines. Play on a controller. Build, run and play the whole game on a gamepad. Play in your own tournaments. Enter the events you host and win prize money. Aces worth celebrating. Fireworks over the green, an instant replay and an Aces wall in the clubhouse. A course that comes alive. Golfers mark their balls, read putts and fix pitch marks. A Head Pro gives lessons, and at dawn your crew sets the pins, mows and empties the bins. A fresh new look. The old golfer and object models have been replaced, so everything on your course now shares the same quality and style. Over thirty new faces join the crowd too. Added Pitch marks. A ball tha...
Read full update on Steam ↗This update adds a bit of new content along with a round of fixes and improvements, a lot of it based on your feedback. A big focus was the lower graphics settings. The Low setting now looks much closer to High, and the game picks sensible settings for your PC on first launch instead of starting everyone on High. That should mean a smoother game without giving up much on looks. On the content side, you can now enter the tournaments you host with your own golfer, and your golfer keeps their scorecards and wins. The demo is the full game on one plot, capped at 9 holes, so everything below is in it. Thanks for playing, and keep the feedback coming! New The game picks your graphics settings. On first launch it runs a quick hidden test of your graphics card behind the splash screen and chooses Low, Medium or High. If you've played before, it only ever offers a lower setting and changes not...
