About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

The Siege of Caerwyn marked the end of the Great Collapse - and the end of humanity as it was known.

Play as Duke Blaise Vaelthorne - 35th Duke of Caerwyn, Warden of the White City, Protector of Cassenbrooke, Black Phoenix, Hegemon of Men, and the Unyielding Defender against the Great Collapse. Blaise was one of the very few survivors of the Great Collapse, cursed by the Giver of Curses during the Siege of Caerwyn to live for eternity, watching his world fall and die. Broken and tormented, he takes up Erinyes, a conscious, vengeful blade, to carry out his revenge.

Endure the path from the Suowick River Bank to Caerwyn, the White Capital City of the dukedom. Fight your way through nightmarish monsters and resist the temptation to surrender to the Legion of Asgarand. By Right. By Blood.

Explore a hand-crafted world: Along the way, encounter survivors, lost souls, monstrous entities, and remnants of the world Blaise once ruled. Discover hidden paths and forgotten places as you slowly uncover what truly happened during the Great Collapse.

Visceral Combat: Strike down the enemies of humanity with Erinyes, an iron blade born from the blood of the massacred citizens of Caerwyn. Strike. Parry. Dodge. Survive. Every strike matters. Every mistake can be fatal.

Adapt and Survive: Blood is power. Right is inheritance. Strengthen Blaise throughout his journey by acquiring new Erinyes perks and reinforcing his Iron Backbone. Discover phoenix shards scattered throughout the world and use them to unlock the power of the Phoenix Crown.

Make Risky Bets: Play the Devil's Advocate, a dangerous game that offers powerful advantages at a cost. Accept the Devil's bargains and gain new strengths - but beware the consequences. The path to victory is rarely without sacrifice.

Unravel the Mystery: What happened to Caerwyn? What is the Legion of Asgarand? What does Death want? And why was Blaise condemned to live and suffer forever? Discover the truth through lost journals, hopeless souls, forgotten survivors, and other entities scattered throughout the world. Piece together the events of the Great Collapse and uncover the history of Blaise Vaelthorne, his family, and the dukedom he failed to save.

A World of Blood and Ruin: Wander through a dark gothic world shaped by Transylvanian, Moldavian, Slavic, and Latin influences. Discover a world where folklore, faith, death, and forgotten history intertwine.
