Every step draws you deeper into a place that refuses to let you go. Explore a horror roguelite in an endless procedurally generated swamp where reality slowly begins to unravel . Every time you play the game, the Swamp is different. Every run of the game feels like a new Swamp Nightmare.

EXPLORE AN ENDLESS SWAMP

The swamp is vast, silent and strangely familiar. Paths branch into the mist. Abandoned buildings stand where no one should live. And every time you think you know where you are, something has changed.

How can you know where you’ve been when the swamp rearranges itself whenever no one is looking?

Every journey is different. Traverse procedurally generated boardwalks in six themed layers with six different depths, discover forgotten paths, find surreal looking structures and antagonistic forces, solve puzzles and the final riddle , as you venture deeper into an ever-changing marshland where no two expeditions are the same.

Discover mysterious objects Findings , forgotten memories Fragments , and remnants left behind by those who came before you. Piece together the hidden history of the swamp through exploration rather than exposition.

ATMOSPHERIC PSYCHOLOGICAL HORROR

Backswamps focuses on atmosphere, exploration, environmental storytelling, and psychological horror rather than combat. The game contains a multi-leveled ambient soundtrack and a dynamic sound effect system that ensures every sound effect played sounds different . Every sound, every shadow, and every step contributes to an unsettling journey into the unknown.

SOMETHING IS WATCHING

The deeper you go, the harder it becomes to trust what you see. You just feel this gnawing feeling at the back of your skull. An itch, that won't go away.
