🔥 LIGHT IS YOUR LIFE

Everyone carries a candle on their head. No flame: no running, no searching, no rescue. Wax melts, traitors blow, monsters siphon. And an ally who falls in a dark room disappears literally. No one will get them up without bringing a flame to their body.

🗝️ SEARCH EVERYTHING, FIND THE KEY

Matches, candles, planks, trinkets to pawn off on the merchant… and somewhere, the ONE key to the exit door. Everything runs through the action wheel: open, search, barricade, hide, trade or pretend to trade. The door opens, the bell tolls: escape before the countdown ends, or the house keeps you.

👁️ SOMETHING KNOCKS ON THE WINDOWS

She posts herself behind the panes, and her breathing carries farther and farther. Draw the curtain. Barricade. Close it in time. Otherwise she comes in and once inside, she is invisible.

And look down: two yellow eyes behind a floor grate mean you are being watched from the vents. Don't linger. Or nail a plank over it.

🚪 EVERY DOOR IS A DECISION

Closed, a door muffles sound and holds back the creatures. But what is it holding in with you? An eye at the keyhole costs two seconds and saves lives.

The door barricade, though, is open to EVERYONE. Instant refuge… or a traitor's trap and no one will ever know if it was just caution.

🩸 TRAITORS AMONG YOU — MURDER MODE

Blow out a candle behind someone's back. Knock out a straggler in the dark, they won't get up on their own. Empty their pockets. Trap a drawer. Slip away through the vents before the light returns. Then accuse the others, hand on heart. A vote can end it all — but vote true: an unmasked impostor is executed, an exiled innocent comes back as the Monster.

🌙 THE MONSTER MIGHT BE YOU

Exiled unjustly? You come back. Outside, under the moonlight, the night is yours: you see in the dark but light burns you. Force a window, siphon their flames, snuff them out one by one.

🎙️ TALK — BUT NOT TOO LOUD

Voices carry like in real life: up close, barely through a wall. The dead only talk to the dead. And fear can be heard: a pounding heart in the dark can be enough to give you away.
