Read full update on Steam ↗This morning’s work focused on combat flow, item access, enemy behavior, loot feel, audio feedback, visibility, item customization, and continued UI improvements based directly on player feedback.Major Hotbar / UI UpdateThis is the biggest part of the update. The hotbar and active skill selection system has been reworked again based on player feedback. The previous method was still too slow and cumbersome, so the goal here was to make the entire system faster, clearer, and more flexible during actual play.Expanded the hotbar to 10 slots, 0–9.Potions, scrolls, and unlocked active skills can now be placed into any hotbar slot.Hotbar contents can be dragged and swapped between slots.Right-clicking a slot clears its assignment.Active skills hide stack counts while consumables continue showing them.Clicking a skill slot or pressing its assigned number selects it as the player’s active right...

You’ve pointed out things that needed fixing, things that could be clearer, and quality-of-life improvements that I think are going to make Hollow a much better game. The Patch Is ComingI’m currently preparing a substantial patch based heavily on the feedback I’ve received from players. It’ll address bugs and technical issues, but I’m also taking the opportunity to improve several areas of the game that became obvious once Hollow was in the hands of actual players. Some things simply don’t show themselves until hundreds of different eyes, machines, resolutions, and playstyles get involved. That’s exactly what a dem...
