Path Defenders is a single-player MMORPG in tower defense form. You're the raid leader and the front line: recruit a party of heroes, place them for the fight, then jump into real-time 3D combat and bring down waves of enemies and bosses.
Controls : Fight alongside your troops while you build towers, command units, and cast game-changing spells on the fly.
Progression : Defeated monsters drop experience. Leveling up lets you choose and upgrade weapons or passive stats.
The Goal : Survive waves of enemies for a set time (usually 15 to 30 minutes). Stay and help your party, or risk venturing out to find more rewards.
Permanent Upgrades : Use gold collected during runs on the main menu to buy permanent stats and power-ups for future attempts.
Stay behind the walls and defend the castle, or leave your heroes to hold the line while you head out exploring for extra rewards. Just know the fight doesn't pause while you're gone. When you get back, things might not be the way you left them.
Every hero fills an MMORPG-style role: tank, healer, DPS, support. They have abilities, strengths, and gaps, and the fun is in finding combinations that cover each other.
Focus on upgrading attack and unlocking new units.
You will unlock more abilities, units, towers as you explore and win more levels.
Choose the right elements to bring to a fight.
Refund upgrades in the skill tree and try a different build, its free.

Some days the engine fights you, framerates plummet, and a shader breaks for absolutely no logical reason. But booting up the build on those rough days and watching my wife's character smash through a horde, or seeing my cat Sushi execute her special attack "Sushi Roll", which BTW is a real trick I taught my cat to roll over and this name naturally came out of it. It makes it all worth it. It reminds me exactly why I started building this in the first place. There is also something special about handing my wife a controller and watching her play as herself. The cats do not r...
Read full update on Steam ↗I added an endless run mode where the game gets harder every minute, so far its a lot more fun then a regular game and its more challenging. You must defeat all star difficulties in a world for you to unlock this mode. There is an indicator in the top right of the screen that shows how much stronger the enemies have gotten.
