Galactum Meridian is a research-first space strategy game about leading humanity’s first deep survey beyond Sol.
Command the ISA Far Horizon , a deep-survey cruiser sent into nearby star systems where the map is incomplete, the data is uncertain, and every discovery changes what comes next. You are not here to paint borders across space with fleets. You are building the first working picture of humanity’s interstellar future.
Galactum Meridian begins with real astronomical structure: nearby stars, confirmed exoplanet data where available, and catalog-backed system information drawn from sources such as the NASA Exoplanet Archive and other astronomy datasets.
But this is not a dry simulator. Known science gives the galaxy its backbone. From there, the game layers survey results, modeled possibilities, strange worlds, and speculative discoveries into systems you can investigate. Galactum Meridian brings in more than 10,000 actual stars from current star catalogs for you to travel to and investigate, updated frequently as new data becomes available.
Some things are observed. Some are inferred from what we know. Some are fictional, mysterious, and waiting for your expedition to discover them.
The Far Horizon is more than a marker on a star map. It is your mobile observatory, laboratory, probe carrier, mission hub, and lifeline.
Survey star systems. Inspect planets and moons from orbit. Deploy probes, landers, rovers, and specialized field packages. Follow up on unusual readings. Turn raw evidence into research, mission priorities, and strategic authority.
Every system is a question. Every world is a record waiting to be discovered.
Progression runs through the Research Atlas , a 3D branching map of expedition knowledge.
Instead of unlocking generic upgrades from a flat menu, you spend the insight earned from discoveries to improve probes, extend survey reach, strengthen Far Horizon support systems, and open new strategic options.
Geology, biology, climate science, stellar physics, and comparative planetology all matter. The better you understand the universe, the more capable your expedition becomes.
Galactum Meridian reinterprets the 4X formula around science, survey rights, publication, and stewardship.
Explore unknown systems. Expand your research footprint. Convert discoveries into useful capabilities. Compete for authority through evidence and expedition presence rather than default empire-war logic.
Territory is represented as a 3D strategic stewardship layer : not just who owns a flat patch of space, but where your expedition has reach, credibility, and recognized scientific authority.
The ISA has sent more than one expedition into the frontier. Other crews are racing to publish first, secure Stewardship Authority, and shape the official record of what humanity finds beyond Sol.
But the race for scientific credibility may only be the beginning. Some readings do not fit the models. Some worlds preserve evidence that should not be there. Somewhere beyond the catalog data, the Far Horizon may uncover a discovery large enough to change what humanity thinks it knows about life, intelligence, and its place in the galaxy.
Navigate a readable 3D star map of nearby systems.
Survey stars, planets, moons, and more.
Work from real catalog data, then push into modeled and fictional unknowns.
Deploy probes, orbiters, landers, rovers, and field-study packages.
Investigate worlds through orbital views, surface studies, anomalies, fossils, terrain signals, and environmental hazards.
Convert discoveries into research through the 3D Research Atlas.
Build scientific authority and stewardship across interstellar space.
Follow mission briefings, crew records, Accord transmissions, and discovery archives aboard the Far Horizon.
Galactum Meridian is for players who like space strategy, astronomy, exploration, and the feeling that a map becomes more valuable the more you understand it.
This is not a conquest-first empire game. It is a game about reaching outward carefully, asking better questions, and making hard strategic decisions from imperfect knowledge.
Language support: Galactum Meridian launches in English, with Simplified Chinese scheduled for the launch-day update. Additional languages, including German, are planned shortly afterward.
Explore a galaxy that begins with the real one.
Where discovery becomes strategy.
This update adds Latin American Spanish and two connected research investigations that give players new reasons to combine discoveries from different worlds. It also introduces optional crew specialist assignments within those investigations. Latin American Spanish - Added Español (Latinoamérica) to the language selection. - Added translations across menus, interface labels, tooltips, research descriptions, crew information, mission guidance, and other localized game text. - Added translations for the new investigation interface across all six supported languages. - Preserved existing language selections—the update does not automatically switch players to Spanish. - Added recognizable Spanish language-setting labeling to help players find the language controls and switch again. - Corrected some probe-lock status labels that previously remained in English when using French, German, or...

New optional research comparisons Science Operations now lets you compare discoveries from different locations to earn additional research for the Research Atlas. Geological comparison: Compare geological evidence from two different worlds. Rewards 2 Expedition Insight and 1 Geology. Stellar comparison: Compare stellar observations from two different star systems. Rewards 2 Expedition Insight and 1 Stellar Physics. Geology–climate comparison: Compare geological evidence from one world with climate evidence from another. Rewards 3 Expedition Insight and 1 Planetary Science. Read full update on Steam ↗This update fixes a research progression blocker and reduces several sources of recurring stutter as expeditions grow. Change probes at research sites - Added Change Probe at occupied research sites, allowing you to switch to a different probe when an objective requires different equipment. - Switching preserves completed research, rover position and existing monitoring deployments. Performance improvements - Reduced repeated processing of monitoring records and research histories in longer campaigns. - Reduced unnecessary rebuilding of territory and ownership information on the Star Map. - Reduced planet-preview, geometry and ship-proximity processing in crowded star systems, without removing planets or moons. - Moved much of the autosave processing into the background to reduce interruptions. - Spread periodic translation checks across frames to reduce interface stalls. - Fixed unus...
Read full update on Steam ↗This update addresses probe availability and performance degradation during longer expeditions. Changes: Fixed recurring stutters that could develop after completing additional research, scans, and monitoring operations. Reduced unnecessary background processing of completed research history. Reduced repeated interface updates while probes are actively gathering research. Improved performance with multiple probes operating simultaneously, including at accelerated expedition speeds. Probes, rovers, and drones now have unlimited replacement availability during Early Access. Deploying a probe no longer prevents that probe model from being used at another research site. Existing field deployments remain active and continue gathering research. Duplicate monitoring of the exact same target is still prevented. Updated Probe Bay information across all supported languages to clarify deployment...
Read full update on Steam ↗This update improves interface readability by reducing the amount of repetitive descriptive text shown across the game’s panels. Reduced targeted explanatory panel text by approximately 50%. Shortened mission directives and Field Study instructions while preserving required actions, objectives, ranges, and progress information. Streamlined descriptions in the Star Map, System View, and World View. Kept important scientific facts, measurements, status information, and available actions visible. Moved secondary reference information into expandable sections where appropriate. Simplified the Probe Bay, Research Atlas, System Registry, Expedition Registry, Accord Feed, Mission Crew, and Operations Log displays. Updated the revised text in Simplified Chinese, French, German, and Russian. Preserved compatibility with existing saved games. This is a presentation-focused update. It does not c...

Read full update on Steam ↗This update addresses stuttering and severe frame-rate drops that some players experienced after landing on a planet and driving a rover across its surface. What was causing the problem? Some planetary environments were loading and repeatedly updating far more decorative objects and terrain information than necessary. On certain computers—particularly lower-specification systems—this could cause the game to become progressively slower during surface exploration. What changed? Reduced the performance cost of dense planetary environments. Adjusted environmental detail according to the selected graphics quality. Prevented scenery from being unnecessarily rebuilt while the rover is moving. Stopped the game from preloading terrain assets that are not being used. Reduced repeated terrain, camera, and material calculations. Improved background loading when entering planetary surface missions...
