Throttle up in Freightliner fashion!

About the Game

From All Aboard Studios; Throttle up in Freightliner fashion as the beastly BR Class 70 roars into Train Sim World for cross-country cargo service! Take charge of a Powerhaul parade, working engineering trains and hefty freight through the East Midlands and beyond.

The BR Class 70 was born from Freightliner’s desire to acquire a new fleet of modern, fuel-efficient but powerful locomotives. Much like the Class 66, the 70 was based on North American technology, albeit shrunk in size for the UK’s diminutive loading gauge, and with the ergonomics of the cab influenced by driver input.

Of the 37 Class 70s built in Erie, Pennsylvania, 19 from Freightliner’s batch safely touched down on UK rails from 2009 onwards, it was supposed to be 20, but 70012 suffered damage upon delivery. The remaining locos, plus a further batch, have seen steady use across the UK, drawing a crowd and cult following as they roam about a land dominated by electro-motive traction.

In Train Sim World, unleash the power of the distinctive Class 70 across an array of unique and Freightliner-focused engineering challenges, localised around two iconic hubs; Crewe and Derby. Trent Valley trials await as you deliver and shunt engineering trains around Basford Hall, running old spoils from possession sites. Your Derby duties detail the possession in question! Drop off wagons loaded with fresh materials for scheduled engineering works to take place.

Please Note: For the full experience, we recommend you own Train Sim World: West Coast Main Line Trent Valley and/or Midland Main Line which are available as separate purchases.
