Fate & Felt is a single-player poker roguelite built on Texas Hold’em. Read opponents, manage chips, judge your hand, and decide when to check, call, raise, fold, or go all-in—but do not expect the rules to stay still.
Skill-dice decisions enter the table between betting stages. Different dice can affect chips, information, cards, and local rules, creating new risks and opportunities inside a familiar poker hand. Choose when to trust the odds and when to trust the roll.
Choose a character with a distinct ability and strategic bias, then combine active skills, Magic cards, Jokers, and skill synergies. These powers can reshape costs, legal choices, action order, and the rhythm of the table.
Choose tables on the chapter map, defeat regular opponents and bosses, and gather chips and long-term progression resources. Upgrade your dice, unlock new growth paths, and carry the rewards of a successful run into future challenges.
Standard — The complete multi-table chapter run.
Extreme — A single decisive game with higher pressure and stronger rule changes.
Best of 3 — Win two out of three games and adapt across the set.
Chaos — Higher blinds, a larger dice pool, and two dice rounds at every stage.
A complete Texas Hold’em flow with hole cards, community cards, betting, burn cards, showdown, and settlement.
Skill-dice decisions woven into multiple stages of every hand.
Interacting character abilities, Magic cards, Jokers, and rule modifiers.
Three chapters, boss tables, and persistent progression.
Four single-player modes: Standard, Extreme, Best of 3, and Chaos.
A handmade paper-collage casino built from worn felt, old paper, dark cloth, and candlelight.
Version 1.1.0 is live. Dice and magic cards are no longer two separate systems — they now feed each other at every step of a match. Turn a card into a die When your hand is full, fuse a magic card into a D4 skill die. Fusion has a one-street cooldown, and spending 1 Momentum clears it early (once per street). Skill dice no longer crowd your regular dice pool. Every face matters Die faces now scale magic: each point adds +5% to the card's effect. The five die roles are clearly separated, so you can read a roll and know what it will do. Judgment dice are real rolls They no longer consume your pool. The die size follows card strength — 40 chips rolls a D6, 80 chips rolls a D20. The die is thrown on the table before the result, and both players see it. A critical failure means the card simply doesn't happen: no card spent, no cost paid, no use consumed. All 10 amplifiers work Including −3...
Read full update on Steam ↗Version 0.1.27 is live. This patch is mostly about teaching: the getting-started page has been rewritten from the ground up, and you can now open it without leaving a match. Getting Started, rewritten The old page assumed a fixed hand size and skipped parts of the game entirely. The new one: No longer hardcodes how many cards you hold. States that the dealer goes first. Lists every hand type. Covers the full dice and magic card flow. Splits the extra rules by the four systems. One click away A rules emblem now sits on the in-match bottom bar and on the table select screen. Tap it whenever a rule slips your mind — no need to back out to the menu and lose your place. Fixes Nightmare Descends no longer spends chips when it can't take effect. It used to cost 80 chips and do nothing. Fixed an error when pressing ESC during the deal and returning to the main menu. Fixed clicks passing throu...
Read full update on Steam ↗Version 0.1.26 is live. This patch is mostly about two things players kept reporting: magic cards vanishing between sessions, and the card swap looking wrong at the exact moment it matters. Magic cards are now saved Magic cards bought outside a match are written into your save, so they stay in hand after you load and continue. Cards gained only during a match are no longer carried into the next one — shop cards and match cards are now kept properly apart. The swap finally moves When a swap flips the table, the card now really flies from its old spot to the new one, instead of a copy appearing on both ends at once. Two long-standing bugs went with it: Cancelling the pick no longer leaves the swap applied. The opponent's card no longer lands out of place after its swap. Other fixes Fixed ghost cards in the opponent's hand in some matches (duplicated card backs, wrong positions). Fixed t...
