About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

Every step costs energy. Make sure you can afford the way out.

In 2073, power determines who gets to survive. As a Nullrunner, you raid the guarded sectors of Ionhaven for valuable Bio-Cells and supplies, turning successful heists into the tools you need to challenge the factions controlling the city.

Ionhaven: Battery Heist is a single-player, top-down stealth extraction game with persistent upgrades and procedurally generated raid layouts. Choose a sector, prepare your equipment, and find a route through its defenses. Your haul only becomes yours when you make it out.

Plan the heist. Unlock the escape.

Explore through fog of war, collect Bio-Cells of different values, and search for equipment and faction fragments. Before you can extract, you must locate and activate the sector’s objective device: trip a power relay or override a lock to open the exit.

Then reach the extraction point and interact with it to secure your haul. With the exit unlocked, you decide whether to leave with what you have or spend more energy searching for another valuable pickup.

Outsmart the security

Watch enemy vision cones, slip past patrols, and navigate around drones and turrets. Build your approach around the equipment you bring:

Smoke Capsules break enemy lines of sight.

Decoy Beacons lure nearby security away from your route.

EMP Grenades disrupt electronic defenses.

Coil Pistols and shock weapons disable or stun threats.

Recon scans and speed boosters help you explore or make a quick escape.

Patrols redeploy during raids, so a route that was safe earlier may be guarded when you return.

Your energy is your lifeline

Your AMP charge drains as you move, open doors, and use powered tools. It also ticks down while you wait. Lockdowns increase energy consumption, making every detour more expensive.

Use recharge nodes and AMP Stimulants to extend a raid, and keep enough charge for the journey to extraction. If your AMP reaches zero, the raid ends. You lose the unbanked loot and equipped tools carried on that run. Previously banked credits, stored equipment, and purchased workshop upgrades remain.

Make every successful escape count

Spend your earnings between raids to increase your maximum AMP, reduce tool energy costs, expand your equipment slots, and improve your scouting range. Buy supplies at the black market and prepare a new loadout for your next target.

Permanent upgrades give you more options, but you still need to choose when a tool is worth its energy cost—and when it is better to slip past unnoticed.

Take back Ionhaven

Advance across a 78-sector city map spanning medical districts, factory annexes, corporate towers, and metro depths. Successful raids secure sectors and unlock neighboring areas, opening new routes through territories controlled by six factions.

Locate and capture the factions’ key buildings to work toward rebooting the city’s core. After completing that objective, you can continue playing in freeplay.

Get in. Take what you can carry. Get out before your charge runs dry.
