Maul Tactics is a maze-building tower defense where every tower you place changes the path enemies must walk. Turn an open field into winding corridors, combine damage and control, and make every step toward your core cost them.

Play through The Broken Roads , a fifteen-chapter Story Campaign, master fifteen playable races, challenge AI rivals, or take your maze online against friends.

BUILD THE PATH, THEN BUILD YOUR PLAN

Double the route back through your strongest towers. Slow enemies inside a kill corridor, break up a swarm with splash damage, or concentrate your fire on a tough target. Your layout, upgrades, and economy work together: a longer maze only helps if your towers can hold it.

THE BROKEN ROADS — 15-CHAPTER STORY CAMPAIGN

Xulgath has seized the Crown and closed the roads between fifteen towns. Lead a repair crew, pass each town's defence test, and recruit its defenders on the road to taking back the Crown.

Each chapter lends you a different race's towers, giving you a chance to learn its strengths through battle. Open roads, collect character cards, and replay chapters for bonus objectives and three-star clears. Campaign progress does not grant extra combat power in multiplayer.

15 RACES, 15 WAYS TO BUILD

All fifteen races are available from the start in the full game. Each has its own tower roster and signature mechanic:

Order : straightforward damage and a flexible starting point.

Frostborn : overlapping slows to keep enemies under fire.

Warhost : cheap towers, volume, and siege pressure.

Bulwark : short-range power and tight corridors.

Ember : long-range artillery.

Plague : splash damage against packed swarms.

Gale : specialised anti-air defence.

Reaver : execute damage against wounded enemies.

Concord : neighbouring towers that strengthen one another.

Mire : stacking venom against tough targets.

Arclight : chain lightning through clustered enemies.

Gambit : critical hits and high-variance damage.

Devourer : towers that grow stronger by claiming kills.

Phalanx : paired towers that form tripwire corridors.

Nomad : towers you can relocate as the battle changes.

BRANCHING TOWER UPGRADES

Choose upgrade branches that fit your maze: focused damage, wider splash, armour shred, stronger control, and more. Build around a race's strengths and experiment with a different plan on your next run.

THE GAUNTLET & SKIRMISH

Climb a separate ladder of ten named Gauntlet rivals , each with its own faction and play style. Face progressively tougher opponents, defeat the ladder, and return for better star ratings.

For a quick battle or a new build idea, jump into Skirmish against the AI without following the campaign route.

WAVE SURVIVOR

Defend against escalating waves and bosses while a rival faces the same horde. Play against the AI or challenge a friend online. There are no enemy sends in this mode: build an economy and a maze that can outlast your opponent.

BATTLE FRIENDS ONLINE

Challenge a friend to 1v1 or host a 2–4 player free-for-all . Build your own defence while sending enemies at opposing boards. Balance spending on towers and upgrades with the pressure you put on your rivals. Online play requires an internet connection and Steam sign-in.

TRY THE FREE DEMO
