About this game
Description
Supplied by the Steam store
Idle Monkey Theorem is a charming idle/clicker game that brings the famous *Infinite Monkey Theorem* to life. Watch as your adorable team of monkeys frantically type away on their typewriters, randomly producing words that-against all odds-slowly but surely recreate the complete works of William Shakespeare.
### The Premise
What if monkeys really could write Shakespeare? In "IDLE MONKEY THEOREM" , you'll find out! Hire a team of typing monkeys, upgrade their skills, and collect the words they generate to piece together history's greatest literary works, one word at a time.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
## Key Features
### Build Your Monkey Army
- Start with a single monkey and grow your full typing army
- Watch their adorable sprite animations as they frantically tap away at their typewriters
- Each monkey independently generates words, meaning more monkeys = more words = faster progress!
### Recreate Shakespeare's Works
- Progress through authentic Shakespeare texts including plays, sonnets, and poems
- Watch your monkeys randomly type the exact words you need—sometimes against astronomical odds
- You'll always make progress, even when luck isn't on your side
### Multiple Game Modes
- **Classic** : The standard experience with round timers, upgrade trees, and guaranteed word progression.
- **Hardcore** : High-stakes typing with pure RNG. No pity timer and no safety nets.
- **You Type** : Dismiss the monkeys, take the keyboard, and manually type the target words yourself.
- **Idler** : A completely passive mode with no round timers and automatic word harvesting.
- **Roguelite** : Draft 1 of 3 random upgrade cards at the end of each round to create unique builds.
- **Zen** : A calm, timer-free mode with soothing ambient sounds.
### Collect & Upgrade
Harvest **Inspiration Points** from your monkeys' work and invest in powerful upgrades:
| Upgrade | Effect |
|----------|---------|
| **Buy Monkey** | Add more typing monkeys to increase word production |
| **Typewriter** | Speed up word generation and display |
| **Focus Training** | Make your monkeys type letters faster |
| **Quill** | Increase your collection radius for easier harvesting |
| **Library** | Boost the value of every word collected |
| **Lucky Ink** | Increase the chance of spawning the exact word you need |
| **Pen Rhythm** | Decrease the pulse interval of the quill for faster reaction |
| **Play Duration** | Extend the round duration by adding more time |
| **Time Frequency** | Increase how often time collectibles spawn |
| **Time Value** | Increase the extra seconds granted by each time collectible |
