The Maiz

CaptainBlinx's first game that will be a work in progress game. Can you make it through the Maiz?

The maze is never the same twice.

Someone has gone missing deep in the woods, and you're the only one going in after them. The Maiz is a first-person maze shooter set in a dense, overgrown forest that rebuilds itself every time you enter. Find the lost wanderer, survive whatever stalks the paths, and make it out before the maze swallows you too.

Find Them. Get Out.

Each run drops you into a freshly generated forest maze of mossy ruins, deep woods and overgrown trails. Your goal is simple: track down the lost wanderer hidden somewhere inside. Find them and the maze shifts around you, carrying you deeper into a brand new one.

Fight Your Way Through

You start with nothing but a trusty pistol and your fists. Hostile figures roam the paths, and they won't let you pass quietly. Scavenge ammo, find stronger weapons and keep your aim steady. Or put the guns away and settle things bare-knuckled.

Unlock the Way Forward

The forest guards its secrets. Hunt for keys to open locked passages, and look for hidden buttons on old stumps, fallen logs, boulders and giant mushrooms that raise the barriers blocking your way.

Watch Your Step

Dark, still puddles hide among the roots, and wading through them will cost you. Patch yourself up with med kits, or push on without them if you think you're tough enough.
