It is the fall of 1881 and your bounty hunting agency is in dire straits. Your no-good partner, Edward Thorne, took out a $10 000 loan and then took off. The debt must be paid by the end of the year so you’ve got no time to waste. Pick a target from the board, mount up, and set out on the Bounty Trail!
Once you reach the territory your bounty is hiding in, you’ll only have a few days to track him down. Explore the area, talk to farmers, look for supplies, and get the lay of the land. Once you track him down, you can try to bring him in alive if you think you’ve gathered enough information to safely do so, otherwise it’ll be a duel. Each one of these fellas is wanted dead or alive. Either way you get paid, but bringing your bounty in alive will earn you more experience, which will let you increase your skills. You’ll need those skills because the bounties will only get tougher and you only have 4 months to pay the debt. Get to it!

Friday Update
I've been working on updates this week, including improvements to UI and the Hard Mode and I wanted to share a look at what's in the works. Here's some screenshots!The information in the Camp screen will be presented a bit more clearly, and you'll also be able to see your current debt here.Hard Mode's health bar will have more information. If your health drops below 50% it'll begin affecting your duel health, at this point if you get gunned down you will die. This is more or less how the system already functions but it's not very clear, as some reviews have pointed out.The Recuperating screen will also display the days going by while you're healing.I'm still tweaking a few things so no update this week, all of these changes will be in next Friday's update!

This week I’ve mainly been working on the Hard Mode, which will need at least another 1-2 weeks for fine tuning and translations before release.I’ve also made some changes that improve the Standard Mode, mostly subtle gameplay tweaks and bugfixes, but the biggest improvement is the new Event Timer!When you perform actions the time is now displayed as a clock, which gives you a better idea of how long the actions take, and also fits the western style better, compared to the previous circular loading bar.Notes:-improved event timer display.-changes to hunt summary screen.-gameplay tweaks and bugfixes.

Spent this week working on Hard Mode. I've thought about it for a long time, but once I started making it I also came up with several new ideas for it. The mode will probably require a few more weeks of work and tweaking before it's ready. This week I also fixed several bugs connected to the Standard Mode, and did a few tweaks to gameplay and difficulty. Standard mode changes: -gameplay and difficulty tweaks. -bugfixes.

Here's the week 2 update for Bounty Trail. I will try to release updates every Friday for the next few weeks, improving and polishing the game bit by bit. -you can now repay the final debt in December as soon as you have the money. -added a few more silhouette animations/poses. -more wildlife: birds in the menu and frogs in the rain. -you can now scroll the text in the Recent Events screen. -a few small additions/improvements to audio and art. -gameplay tweaks. -bugfixes. Also the game is now Steam Deck verified!
