The island is big and it is not empty. Downtown towers and traffic lights, quiet suburbs, highways out into the forest, a lake in the trees, snow on the high ground and dust on the flats. Day turns to night, storms roll in, and the cold is something you dress for.
Ride the bus, hail a taxi, take the train around the city, or take a car that is not yours.
Chop trees, break rocks, mine ore, scavenge dumpsters. Smelt at a furnace, cook on a campfire, and work your way up three tiers of workbench.
Then build: a foundation, walls, a door with a code on it, a second floor. Claim the ground with a tool cabinet, keep the upkeep paid, upgrade wood to stone to metal, wire up a generator, and hang your own paintings on the walls. A base is a home until somebody brings C4.
Health, stamina, hunger and thirst all count. Hunt deer with a crossbow, fish the lakes, grow your own crops, and dress for the weather, because the highlands will kill you in the wrong clothes. Get sick, get hurt, get patched up.
Brick City runs without you: traffic, pedestrians, buses on their routes, the train on its loop. Hustle on a street corner, sell to the pawn shops, buy a car at Big Tony's, put a song on your phone. Your contacts text you with jobs. Some of them are even legal.
Rob Summit Bank: blow the door, crack the vault, and get to the car before the stars stack up. The police come in waves, SWAT follows, and the helicopter does not give up until it is on fire.
Four gangs hold turf you can take. The military airbase has soldiers and the best gear on the island. The prison has its own problems. Bullets drop and take time to arrive, so line up the shot.
Start a crew with your friends, or hire recruits at a Clubhouse, arm them, and leave them guarding the base. Fill the crew treasury, take turf, and raid the people who raided you. Other players are the most dangerous thing on the island. So are you.
This is Early Access. These are the plans for what comes next (not things in the build today), and the order is decided by what players ask for:
Something to spend a fortune on. Property and businesses to own
More of the city. More places to go into, more jobs, more to steal
Server tools for people who run their own servers: wipes, rules and admin controls
Steam Workshop , so modders can keep it alive
Engine: Unreal Engine 5.8
View: first and third person
Modes: single-player, co-op, online PvP, and dedicated servers you can host yourself
Platform: Windows (Steam)
You wake up with nothing. No shoes. No money. No friends. A brick in your hand and a whole city that does not care if you make it to morning.
BRICK 2: Rags 2 Riches is an open-world survival game about starting at the very bottom of Brick City and taking your way to the top. Food, water, a roof, a gun, a car, a crew, a name people know: you take it, make it or steal it.
Play it alone, with friends in co-op, or on online PvP servers that keep running when you log off. Every base you can see is one you can raid, and every one you build has to hold while you are gone.
In BRICK 2 today:
A huge island: Brick City's towers and blocks, the suburbs, highways, forest, lakes, a frozen highland, dust flats and the sea
Online PvP and co-op on dedicated servers, with a server browser and voice chat for everyone nearby, your crew or your party
Twenty AI rivals playing the same game you are: they gather, build bases, form crews, take turf, raid each other and talk in chat
Rust-style base building: foundations, walls, doors, stairs, gates and ladders, upgraded from wood to stone to metal, with code locks, tool cabinets and upkeep
Power, turrets and traps: generators, cables, lights, spikes, barbed wire, landmines and bear traps
Real ballistics: bullet drop, iron sights, scopes and attachments, from pipe pistols to sniper rifles, crossbows, rocket launchers and C4
Wanted stars, police waves, SWAT, and a police helicopter you can bring down
Heists and dangerous places: Summit Bank, the military airbase, the prison, the Old Mine and the Abandoned Metro
Cars to steal off the street or buy at Big Tony's, to wreck and repair; buses, taxis and a train around the city
Hunting, fishing, farming, cooking and crafting, with gear that rolls a rarity from common to legendary
Hustling on corners, pawn shops, a gun store, a phone full of contacts with jobs, quests, eighteen skills and 41 Steam achievements
Paint pictures for your walls, spray graffiti tags, and play real games on the arcade cabinets
