Magic was once forgotten by the world.
Now an ancient darkness is awakening once more. Only the mages who gather again can awaken the elements, protect one another, and restore magic’s lost glory.
Magic Twinborn is a survivor-like action roguelite built around two-player elemental cooperation, made for families, friends, and players of different ages and experience levels to enjoy together.
Spells cast automatically, making it easy for newcomers to join. Movement, builds, elemental reactions, and teamwork leave plenty of room for experienced players to experiment and improve.
Magic Twinborn is designed to shine in local co-op, and playing together is the recommended experience—but a second player is never required. In solo play, a Soul Companion fights beside you, supports elemental combinations, and keeps the two-character teamwork at the heart of the game.
If your mage falls, Soul Link lets you continue by taking control of the Soul Companion. You can complete the adventure alone from beginning to end, while co-op adds the coordination, shared decisions, and cooperative ultimates that define Magic Twinborn.
Every character has an elemental identity of their own.
One player might set the battlefield ablaze while the other spreads the flames with wind or creates steam with water. One player creates the conditions for a reaction, and the other carries the change forward.
Ten core elements—Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wood, Wind, Water, Earth, Dark, Metal, and Light—can interact with abilities, enemies, terrain, and mechanisms.
No one is simply following behind. Even when players have different experience levels, each person brings an important element to the battle.
Elemental ultimates are created by two characters, two elements, and a casting decision made together.
Build energy with your partner, read the battlefield, and respond at the same moment to unleash the ultimate belonging to that elemental pairing. It might clear a surrounded area, reshape the battlefield, create a safe space, or provide the key to defeating a boss.
This is not an ultimate where one player casts and the other watches. It is magic that can only be completed by two players acting together.
Automatic casting lets players focus on movement, dodging, and helping their partner without memorizing complicated button sequences.
Experienced players can explore builds, guide elemental reactions, and manage the pace of battle. Younger players and newcomers can still contribute through movement, pickups, active talents, and responding to their partner.
Whether you are a parent and child, siblings, or friends, you can find your own way to cooperate on the same screen.
The paths, enemies, mechanisms, and bosses within each stage are not fixed.
How you use elements, handle danger, and help one another can change the battles that follow. Solving a problem quickly may create new consequences, while clever cooperation can open an unexpected route.
When adventuring alone, you may also form a connection with an unknown soul. When playing with family or friends, every elemental pairing offers new cooperative possibilities.
Magic has no single answer.
The strongest magic comes from the bond between you.
Characters and Selection Refreshed animation sequences and presentation for multiple characters, including a final animation and selection-portrait pass for the Desert Queen. Improved player labels, layout, and localization in character selection. Enemies, Bosses, and Stages Upgraded enemy and boss visuals across several stages, rebuilt Stage 6 boss action effects, and expanded Stage 10 boss actions and special states. Improved reactive-terrain boundaries, enemy spawning, dual-boss flow, and mechanic signals to reduce out-of-bounds movement and invalid spawns. Drops and Stability Refined stage-exclusive pickup scale, pickup radius, and magnet rules; Sanctuary Incense now applies sustained poison instead of a one-time explosion. Expanded automated coverage for animation pause behavior, pooled reuse, stage mechanics, and visual assets. Thank you for helping Magic Twinborn grow.
