The modern controls are finally here, dear survivors!
This update introduces our first version of the Modern Look-at Control Scheme, along with several area improvements and bug fixes. This is a big step for us, and we're excited to finally put it in your hands.
Added a new Modern Look-at Control Scheme, which can now be selected from the In-Game Menu or when starting a new game.
The Modern Control Scheme features a smooth cursor-based look system, allowing for more fluid aiming and movement throughout the Redwood Estate.
This is our first implementation of the modern controls, and we'd love to hear your feedback! Let us know how the controls feel and whether any settings could use some tweaking.
We're also investigating the possibility of adding strafing to the Modern Control Scheme in a future update, which could help compensate for the lack of a quick-turn mechanic.
Added distinct door sprites for Gold Key doors to make them easier to identify.
Removed a light in the small garden area of the Dog Park to improve visibility and maneuverability.
Updated the locations of several clowns in the demo build.
Fixed incorrect transparency on decals in the Coat Room.
Fixed an issue where the Load Menu could still be navigated after confirming that a save should be loaded.
We're having a lot of fun putting these new features together, and we hope they don't break the game too much. Hahaha!
And don't worry if they do... we'll fix them!
As always, thank you for playing, testing, and sharing your feedback with us. Your feedback is helping us shape the Redwood Estate as we move closer to Early Access!
The year is 2000.
Officers Tim Rieff and Kim Hansbury are dispatched to the remote Redwood Estate after contact is lost with two fellow officers. What begins as a routine welfare check quickly turns into something far more disturbing.
Inside the estate, silence hides the truth.
To locate their missing colleagues and uncover what happened to the residents and staff, Tim must explore the manor and its surroundings, search for survivors, and face the growing threat hidden within its walls.
Explore, investigate, and survive in a tense, top-down horror experience inspired by classic survival horror games. With scarce resources, dangerous enemies, and puzzles standing between you and the truth, every decision can make the difference between life and death.
Collect your arsenal and prepare yourself for deadly encounters against horrific enemies and powerful bosses.
Explore the manor and its surroundings in search of your missing fellow officers. Uncover the mysterious events that led to the tragic fate of the residents and staff of the Redwood Estate in this atmospheric survival horror experience.
Search every corner for the tools you’ll need to survive against terrifying enemies while carefully managing your limited resources.
Piece together the mystery. Discover files and documents that reveal clues about the true purpose of the Redwood Estate, stories about its residents, and the events that took place there before everything went wrong.
An original soundtrack composed in-house supports the atmosphere with moments of dread, restraint, and brief relief between encounters.
