In 1990, Mia Jane disappeared during a camping trip in Black Wood , a forested area near the facilities of Lurmont , a company that operated under the façade of an environmentally harmless mining site in the BlackWood Forest, California. The case was never solved.

Years later, Gabriel , desperate to find a cure for an infection that is slowly consuming Mia, returns to the abandoned ruins of Lurmont. There, he discovers a video tape. A recording that doesn’t just contain memories… but the truth someone tried to bury.

Following the events of the free Prologue available on Steam , Gabriel plays the tape, unaware that doing so awakens B-96 — a presence that does not belong entirely to the past or the present… but can move through both.
