That's a whole turn. Grab your trusty d6, arrange your backpack so one lucky roll sets everything off, and see how far it goes in snappy 30-minute runs.
Craft new degenerate combos to break the game, over and over and over again.
Over 150 Cards, including a Rusty Nail and a Sock Full of Nickels
Over 40 Memories to make battles easier… or weirder
Over 35 tasty Snacks to boost your runs
Pick any two Aspects (our word for classes) and draft Cards from both. For example:
Tactical + Sk8er: stack Vulnerability on the enemy, then use Tricks to trigger your Cards again and again.
Gamer + Tinker: stack the odds with extra dice while you upgrade your Cards.
Every pair mixes a different set of Cards into your backpack, so no two runs build the same machine.
Fall asleep and the school day follows you in.
The Lunch Lady is serving seconds whether you want them or not.
Your Geology Homework is still due.
The Werecoach will make you run laps until you howl.
The Alarm Clock is furious that you're still in bed.
Plus plenty more Knightmares to discover and unlock as you play.
Spend your Allowance on nostalgic ’90s memorabilia :
Retro video games
Lava lamps
Boomboxes
Inflatable chairs
Sick skateboards
Everything you need to survive Y2K.
Every morning your decorations earn Cool Points to spend on the Corkboard, so every time you wake up there is something new to unlock :
Cards
Memories
Snacks
Aspects
New Knightmares
Other surprises
Check out this video which covers the core improvements in this update. Add Your LanguageSlumber Realm only comes in English for now, but from this update you can translate it yourself. Every line of text in the game lives in one file, all 2,642 of them (about 14,400 words), and the game picks up your translation as soon as it's in the folder. In Settings, Add Your Own Language opens that folder. It holds two files: English.template.json, and a README with the steps. Copy the template, name the copy after your language and fill in "text" under each line of English. You can translate a little at a time: anything you leave empty stays in English. Words like Card, Snack and Memory live in their own table at the top of the file. Translate them once and your words show up everywhere the game uses them. When the game loads your file, it checks every line and writes a report beside it. A lin...
Read full update on Steam ↗Check out this video which covers the core improvements in this update. This is the last update before Steam Next Fest which starts on Monday! If you haven't gotten a chance to try the demo, Monday would be an excellent time!0.9.7 (10-16-26)- Nine more enemies come alive: Buffoli, the Crunch Bunch, Werecoach, Geology Homework, Alarm Clock, Holy Roly Poly, FreeMoney.exe, Spelling Bee and Gabaghoul have full battle animations, from idle moves to attacks and flinches. The Crunch Bunch's three carrot babies each move on their own.- Alarm Clock rings and snores, and Werecoach barks and howls, when they use their moves.- Enemy defeats depend on the final hit: an ordinary hit sprays the enemy's dots up and off the screen, and a heavy hit collapses them into a heap.- New right-click ripple: right-click in battle and the dots around the cursor kick outward with a rainbow glow, then settle back....
Read full update on Steam ↗Moving & GroovinWe finally added character animation to the game! This was a big challenge due to how our artwork is built. We don't use traditional pixels or polygons (well, they are technically pixels and polygons in the end but not at the level that matters). All our battle art is built out of tiny "dots".Here is the "skeleton" of the knight character. Each dot is colored based on which "bone" it is attached to. Notice how all the sword dots are orange. In order to author animations, we first need to attach each individual dot to a bone. Then we can move the bone over time to create the animation. This means we can do fun things like "pop" Skeletone's skull off his head when he is attacked. This update only features a few characters with full animations. More to come soon!0.9.6 (10-6-26)- Characters come alive: the Knight, Bureaucat, Lunch Lady, Mushgroom, Skeletone and The Sun have f...
Read full update on Steam ↗Introducing... the HOLY MOLY update for Slumber Realm! This update is all about JUICE. Confusing, right? We aren't talking about the apple or orange variety of juice. We are talking about the esoteric art of GAME JUICE. What makes a game feel really good? There are a huge variety of techniques game designers use to make a game POP.ScreenshakeWhite flashes on big hitsEscalating speeds and pitching SFX to create tensionHit stop (when the game slows down during a big hit)Characters squish and stretch when attacking and when being attackedAnd a ton more! Here is a quick GIF I put together to show off some of the effects. It looks a whole lot better at 4K on your huge monitor.Full change log below.0.9.5 (9-24-26)- Card combos build up: each Card later in a chain pops bigger, shakes harder and plays a higher-pitched sound, and attacking Characters lunge forward.- Characters wobble like jelly...

Read full update on Steam ↗Howdy, the Slumber Realm demo has received another big update!I'd like to introduce you to the Brain Sheriff.Ok, I'll admit this may seem totally random but there is a method to the madness. You see, your brain is what helps you regulate your emotions. The resources in Slumber Realm are emotions. And this Brain Sheriff helps you regulate your emotions by offering a trade of emotions. So, it all SORT OF makes sense! Also, Slumber Realm takes place in a dream world so it doesn't need to make sense. Here is a full change log:0.7.1 (4-30-26)Dart now deals 1 damage each time it is usedFixed Extension Cord incorrectly showing a Missed notification when Follow Up was not missed0.7.0 (4-29-26)Added the Sheriff, a cowboy who is also a brain who helps you regulate your emotionsAdded new Mushgroom dialogueAdjusted the first Training Run draft to offer Training Shield or Training HammerSmoothed re...
