Hey cleaners,A focused stability and performance pass landed today. The biggest win:first-time mouse rotation, first NPC conversation, and first use of everycleaning tool no longer stutter — the game now pre-warms shaders andparticles during loading so it's silky from the very first frame of play. ⚡ Performance• Major shader/PSO warmup pass — eliminates first-use hitches• Multi-threading fix (resolved a long-standing race condition)• Removed dead material references that were silently slowing loads 🛠 Fixes• Linux crash fixed• Water extractor behaviour cleaned up• Extraction tool positioning is now precise• End-of-day saving + tween cleanup no longer conflict• Layered UI rendering errors resolved• Interactable object handling stability pass 🎨 Polish• New splash logo effect• Card dither effect for nicer card visuals• Refreshed graphics settings screen• FOV setting added 🏆 Online• Ste...
Read full update on Steam ↗Hello everyone,After Steam Next Fest, I went through the feedback and focused on the biggest issues players ran into during the demo. This update is all about making Rug Cleaning Simulator feel smoother, clearer, and more polished across the full gameplay loop.A lot of the work in this patch went into the cleaning experience itself. I reworked the feel of first-person cleaning, improved tool feedback, upgraded water and puddle behavior, and tightened progression through each cleaning stage. I also spent time improving onboarding, end-of-day flow, and a lot of smaller quality-of-life issues that were holding the experience back. What changed in this update:Reworked the core cleaning flow into a smoother first-person cleaning experienceImproved camera handling, movement, and entry/exit transitions during cleaningUpgraded the water pistol, scrubber, and water extractor with better visuals...
Read full update on Steam ↗Hey all ːsteamhappyː Long time no see but don't worry I still working on game. Demo is almost ready.Technical update A lot of things happened in recent months. I've been focusing mostly about preparing game for the DEMO which is almost ready. My main goal currently is to be ready for the STEAM NEXT FEST with demo but ideally I would like to share with you demo before festival. Changes and project updatesAs I was playing in other games recently I've tried to understand what makes good games being good. My number one priority is to have cozy, engaging and repetitive vibe. From very begging I was not willing to create a real life rug cleaning simulator. If you are into accurate job simulator games then this game might not be for you but I believe everyone should have fun playing it :) New game art:as I'm moving into more cozy, repetitive and entertaining game I have prepared new steam ca...
Read full update on Steam ↗Hey all ːsteamhappyː Long time no see but don't worry I have been working on game for the whole time (I mean in my free time capacity - which is not a lot 😊) Technical update I would like to start this update with sharing with you a massive milestone in project. Rug Cleaning Simulator surpassed 1000 commits to repository. This means that I've added 1000 minor or major updates to game from start of project. To be true I don't track time spend on project but for sure it already took me more than 1000 work hours ːsteamhappyː {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44980381/13e25c13da60cfe34b29ce7df263d307e6082c45.png {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44980381/d78a75e2a296d03670c6c2136390dcc248eb6953.png as you can see on screenshot of my repository, I'm working on game almost every day. I'm trying to work on game everyday even if it's small bug fix, update or new functionality. What's new? Ok, enough about technical/proje...
Read full update on Steam ↗Hey all ːsteamhappyː First of all, let me say that despite the fact that I publish this news during the period of All Saints/Halloween, the game is still alive 😊 As I'm solo developer doing almost all stuff alone (except 3D models I buy or music I commissioned to be created) my time is very limited (not speaking about day to day job and family). What I wanted to say is that I strongly limited for now marketing, or status updates of game in favor of working on game itself. I'm trying to do something in the game almost every day (even small things). I believe I've finished the hardest part of game mechanics and now I'm focusing on connecting all things together. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44980381/58282e37bd1abdfd73e341d219ab6bc0177461d7.png Things that are done: - Cleaning rugs with updating rug textures (depending on rug cleaning stage (watering, rotary cleaning etc.) - Saving & Loading game...
