~ In the year 29XX interplanetary wars erupted as a nanite plague spread to every star colony decimating the human populations. On the planet Celestious survivors scavenge subterranean zones for supplies and lost tech while battling the bandits, beasts, and monster that stalk the blackouts. ~
Deadzoned is a traditional turn-based action Roguelike in a sci-fi setting. Venture ever-deeper into the Deadzones blasting through a wide assortment of enemies from critters and creatures, to gangs of outlaws and cultists, and terrifying monsters of the blackouts.
To survive you'll need shrewd wits to make best use of the busted up weapons, gear, and limited ammo you stumble upon as you decide whether fully exploring the enemy strewn zones is worth the gamble. Thankfully murdering meanies gives XP to level up your Stats and Talent choices to customise your build.
Every playthrough a procedurally-generated nightmare: Each zone fight through a unique layout facing random events as you level-up differently with special talents, find rusting weapons and strange gear, interact with ancient machines to boost your build, and fight or avoid the enemies that infest them.
Fast arcade action: There's no agonising over item weight limits, grab every weapon you find and blast your way through the meanies to get the biggest score you can muster.. but keep an eye on your ammo!
Multiple game modes: Fancy a quick 20 minute trip? Or maybe a more lengthy session? You choose how deep the journey goes with each offering their own length, difficulty, and pools of gear, enemies, and end bosses.
Many character classes: From Bounty Hunters, Psychics, and Technomaniacs, to the humble Deprived Wretch, each class levels up differently with each class having their own Talents and stat preferences.
Optional Difficulty: Zones can have multiple random events you can face or avoid for extra loot and bigger scores. From dealing with a camp of Cannibals to entering the domain of a skelly summoning Boneraiser. You may also find optional entrances into the more dangerous but rewarding zones such as Forbidden or Plagued Deadzones.
Steam Leaderboards: Battle your foes, and your friends, to reach first place on the online Steam leaderboards. Every game mode and class has their own leaderboard to fight over.
Clashful Cards: Take a cosy break from the blasting with a strategic collectable card game you can play against the AI or a local friend.
Input Accessibility: Although Mouse + Keyboard is recommended, you can choose to play on a gamepad, or just a keyboard.
Hat & Skin Colour unlocks: Now this is fashion zone!
~ Can YOU survive the zones? Or will you become just another Deadzoned? ~

Read full update on Steam ↗Welcome back dead'eads to a right clanker of a content update. 2 new classes have been added. There's the Busted Clanker who tunes his unique unremovable Arm-Blaster gun and cannot heal naturally, but instead can recycle old weapons to heal and boost your XP further. Then there's the Accursed Hollow whose runs are even more random than usual due to having ready access to the new Cursed Deadzones. The Cursed Deadzones are a new rare zone you can choose to enter just like the other special Deadzones. It has the highest difficulty rating though due to it being a bit random as all the enemies within are Cursed, which boosts all of their Stats by between 1-22% (including XP/Score rewards). 2 new bosses have been added. The Lair of the Beast game mode now has an Abominable Snowman boss where you'll be wandering a Yeti filled snowzone but you best hurry before the frostbite sets in. The True...

Read full update on Steam ↗Welcome back dead'eads to the first of several content updates! Since it's the first there's more of a focus on core improvements to get the foundation solid to build upon. A Seeded Challenges mode has been added where you compete against fellow dead'eads to get the biggest score possible, with the runs being seeded so everyone faces the same zone layouts and challenges. There's a Daily, Weekly, and Fortnightly challenge which corresponds to the usual game 3 game modes, so for example each day there's a new Outzone Bust Up leaderboard to bash each other over. Upon completing a zone there's now a Save & Quit option for if you want to come back to the run at a later time. 2 new Classes have been added. There's the Gunslinger Desperado whose playstyle focuses on dual wielding pistols, and then there's the Wizard Conjurer who uses Spell Actions which are basically rechargeable Gear Action...

Read full update on Steam ↗A new mechanic has been added called Actions as a bit of a test run to see how they feel. They aren't explained in the ingame tutorial so I'll just explain them here for now. 5 new special gear items have been added which act like consumables. Once picked up a little HUD icon shows near your weapons which allows you to use that item's Action. They're intended to be uncommon and used for those last desperate 'no hope' occasions to give that one last attempt to remain alive. For example there's an Action that allows you to teleport back to the zone entrance. They are one-use consumables and you can't carry duplicates, but once used you may find them in future crates. The items are Molly Bomb, Elixir Potion, Homing Beacon, Camo Dust, and Ancient Device, and when picked up will show at the top of your Gear list in the Status Screen. If you're using a gamepad then pressing the right trigge...
