Description

THE 1.0 OVERHAUL: TACTICAL VR SURVIVAL AT UNMATCHED SCALE

Survival Denied has graduated from Early Access, leaving the "casual shooter" days behind. Powered by a completely overhauled, high-performance ECS engine architecture, the game drops you into a brutal, tactical VR action-roguelite designed for maximum scale and player freedom.

There are no floating menus and no textual hand-holding. Everything from weapon selection to level unlocks is handled physically in the world. Read your health on your diegetic forearm displays, check your ammo on your physical weapons, and rely entirely on your own tactical instincts.

250-ZOMBIE SENSORY HORDES

We’ve pushed horde density to the absolute limit. Face down up to 250 undead entities on-screen at once—but they aren’t just running in a straight line.

Sight & Sound AI: Zombies now patrol in independent roaming packs, hunting by sight and sound.

Surgical Stealth or Heavy Metal: Creep through the fog with a suppressed weapon to pick off targets silently. Or, fire an unsuppressed rocket launcher and watch the noise pull six different hunting packs down onto your exact coordinates.

Specialized Threat Matrix: Track Radioactive zones in using the audio clicks of your physical Geiger counter, dodge Crawlers, and eliminate Exploders that deliver powerful blast damaging everyone nearby.

10 MAPS THAT ACTIVELY TRY TO KILL YOU

You aren't just running in circles anymore. The environment is now a core hazard.

Acid Rain City: When the sky suddenly turns pitch black, you have seconds to get indoors before the rain melts your health, forcing frantic, close quarters room clearing.

The Toxic Swamp: Navigate narrow wooden walkways over lethal water. One wrong step while running from a horde means death.

Scrapyard Bombing Runs: Watch the dirt for glowing markers, hear the jet engines overhead, and intentionally kite trailing zombies directly into incoming payload drops.

AN OVER-THE-TOP, HIGH-TECH ARSENAL

Huge arsenal to play with including:

The Recursive Splitter Gun: A single shot splits into two, branching recursively 8 times until up to 256 laser projectiles turn a tight corridor into a neon meat-grinder.

Chargeable Lightning & Orbital Strikes: Chain high-voltage electricity through dense crowds, or paint a target area to call down catastrophic satellite beams.

Automated Defensive Drones: Deploy orbiting freeze or explosive drones with "Seek & Destroy" logic to watch your back while you physically reload under pressure.

THE MATRIX BUBBLE & 26 MODIFIERS

Earning enough kills triggers a level-up blast, dropping time into a slow-motion crawl. Step casually around zombies frozen mid-leap, point your controller to select one of 26 floating holographic modifiers, and snap time back to reality. Synergize game-breaking combos, power ups and perks, or activate the "Keep Them Coming - legacy mode" modifier to turn the sensory AI back into classic, relentless homing hordes.

Earn Permanent Meta-Progression: Earn "Floating 1%" stat boosts back in the hub to permanently fine-tune your survivability across runs.

ASYMMETRIC COUCH CO-OP (EXPERIMENTAL)

Got a friend in the room? They don't need a headset. Player 2 can sit at the PC monitor and pilot an overhead support drone—firing turrets, dropping hazards, and pinging targets to cover your blind spots while you fight in VR.

VR COMFORT WARNING: Survival Denied features Smooth Locomotion and Smooth/Snap turning. There is NO TELEPORTATION. If you are highly sensitive to VR motion sickness, please keep this in mind before purchasing!

HOW TO PLAY:

You start in "Menu" area. We avoid using classic graphic user interface as we believe it doesn't work well in VR.

Instead you will find objects which can be interacted with, within the scene:

Guns - You will find weapon armory on the starting map, you can enter and test unlocked weapons. Red weapon avatar means weapon is locked, blue means unlocked. Number under the avatar indicates the score needed to unlock the weapon. When you are within pickup range (you need to walk over it), you will see blue particles raising from the base of the pickup. Press the grip button on your controller to pick the weapon (you can have a gun in each hand).

In game weapon's drom from weapon's crates (shoot to destroy).

Settings tent - Five quality levels can be activated here, each represented by number of blue bars. Red "nuke" item resets your level unlocks. Press grip button on your controller to activate desired option. Additional options outside the tent allow you to adjust game controls to your liking (HMD/Controller walking direction, Snap/Smooth Turn setting, together with sensitivity adjustment). Easy mode has now been added if you prefer more casual experience.

Level selection - You will find a number of portals in the starting location. Walk through one to travel to the location. Blue light means level is unlocked and playable, red means level is locked. To unlock level, you must achieve score of 30000 or more in previous level.

Level Up - Once you kill some zombies, you will be granted with a selection of perks or modifiers, simply walk over the perk of your choice and you will be granted an ability/increase in stats. Time will also be slowed around the selector area, use this to your advantage. You have 30 seconds to select one of the thee, if you don't you will be granted a random one.

Power-Ups - Some zombies will drop temporary power-ups upon death. Walk over them to collect them. Those will help you in your struggle against the horde!

Medicine - Look out for planes dropping medical supplies, you need this to survive, if you don't collect those you will be killed by the ZOM1313 virus!

Leaderboards - Those tombstones show how you stack up, on each level, against your friends and globally.

To exit the game, simply walk close to the EXIT on the "Menu" level and press grip button on your controller.
