  3. Elon Musk reportedly delayed a Grok update because it kept getting Baldur's Gate 3 facts wrong

Only videogame purists refuse to utilize the internet for help in 2026. I grew up in an era where internet guides were proliferating, forums were the ideal place to seek answers to the Pokemon puzzles that plagued my playtime, and yet my internet access and 'screen time' was managed by my parents. These days, it's far easier to find the perfect guide for every game, and yet Elon Musk still allegedly delayed an update to his Grok AI so that it could answer Baldur's Gate 3 questions more accurately. 4. Baldur's Gate 3 drops surprise patch nearly a year after "final" update, but Larian's really focused on Divinity now, honest

Larian just can't seem to leave Baldur's Gate 3 in the past, can it? While the behemothic RPG shot the studio to stardom in 2023, Larian constantly tinkered with it for years afterwards - for better and for worse. But, nearly a year on from Patch 8, which was purported to be the 'final' update for the game, Larian is back for more, and has spent some time fixing the most egregious bugs that remain in the fantasy game. Now it can really focus on Divinity, honest. Read the rest of the story... Surprise! Baldur's Gate 3 got a fresh patch. Unsurprise! It's vanishingly small, but at least it repairs some corrupted saves

Baldur's Gate 3—a videogame about dressing up hot elves—had fans scratching their heads earlier today when it suddenly pulled down north of 100 MB with no explanation whatsoever. What could it be? What could it mean? What's Larian up to now?.. Read more.

Baldur's Gate 3 mod restores more than 100 conversations and 1,000 lines of voiced dialogue from the early access version previously lost in the ethereal plane

I played the first act of Baldur's Gate 3 a few times in early access, which is why I'm always slightly surprised on subsequent playthroughs that there aren't a bunch of mind-controlled anglers protecting the dying mind flayer you encounter near the start of the game. They were cut in the final release, along with a bunch of dialogue and scenes, much of which has now been restored by modder HyperspaceTowel... Read more.

Community Update #36 A Very Moddy Christmas

Hello friends, The days are getting colder, the holiday decorations are creeping out early, and honestly? We’re leaning into it. It’s been a long year, one that saw Baldur’s Gate 3 receive twelve new subclasses, full cross-play support, and the arrival of photo mode - the last final, final last patch. It’s been an exciting year for us, what with also launching Larian: Channel From Hell, with weekly streams where you’ve had sneak peeks into our madness, met valued members of the team, and pushed Aoife to her limits with her Dark Urge run. However, they’re not the only stars of the show - your mods have caused tears, laughter, and pain. Lots of pain. Like getting rammed in the ankles by a muscle car pain. So before we close out on 2025, we’re looking back at some of the best moments brought about by your mods! The Devs Of Christmas - A Four-Hour Honour Mode Stream But before we start our...

  10. This new Baldur's Gate 3 update makes the game run way better on your Steam Deck

Baldur's Gate 3 has just been given a fresh new update that targets performance on the Steam Deck. Handled by a single engineer as a somewhat personal project, this new, native version of Baldur's Gate 3 looks to end the long-running doubts over whether the game ever actually deserved its verified status. While the Steam Deck still sits atop our guide to the best gaming handheld, it undoubtedly struggles with big, triple-A experiences like Baldur's Gate 3. Most of the problems with BG3 on the Deck arise from Act 2, but its verified rating sometimes results in people believing it should run flawlessly throughout the game. Read the rest of the story...
